How does a linear code get translated into 3-d objects?

DNA gets transcribed into mRNA which is given to the ribosome. This ribosome constructs a chain of amino acids, like a string of pearls. Some pearls are attracted to one another, others repel...And the pearls begin to move , to fold like molecular origami until it becomes a critical life protein:

enzymes

hemoglobin

keratin for hair, for feathers.

pigment for photosynthesis

All of life's proteins have a specific order of amino acids, dictated by the sequence of RNA, which comes from the sequence of DNA.
