FLEX ASSIGNMENT: Watch the video and find a spiral

In the history of DNA, Watson and Crick and Franklin discovered the structure of DNA as a RIGHT HANDED HELIX!  It is quite the story of Scientific competition and ingenuity!

Watch my video  for the DEFINITION of a left handed and right handed helix.  GO OUTSIDE and look for helices in natureanything that spirals and twists Put your frog on this spiralling specimen that was from a living thing and tell me whether it is a right handed or left handed helix.

Examples of spirals can be branches that spiral, pine cones that spiral, parts of plants, snails etc.  If you have a poodle dog, you can even see how its hair spirals!  Upload your spiral onto the FLEX channel between 11am and 1pm and remember for full marks, you need to include your frog, and a clear pic of your spiralling specimen plus tell me correctly whether this is a right handed or left handed helix!
